Cam bearings
Well my motor started making this horrible screeching noise. It was so loud that it'd hurt your ears. I tore it down and everything looked normal until I noticed the cam bearing......

Looks pretty normal for a cam bearing that's had metal shavings in it. That's not the source of your problem, it's a symptom; and as those things go, not a particularly terrible one.
Check the front of your block, on the inside, right opposite the crank timing gear, around the front main bearing. See if there's signs of rubbing there, and/or on the front of the front crank counterweight.

I'm gonna start pulling the motor tomorrow and see if I can find anything else. I'm almost glad this happened because now I have an excuse to build a better motor. It was just a matter of time before the unknown milage stock bottom end went out.
