Do I have to remove the hood to pull distributor? Or is the dist not that long?

Heh if your my buddie you can do it in the dark with no light heh in under 10 mins but just remeber to mark the dist in 2 places or 3

definetly not, just unbolt a little screw ( i made my own to do it) and MARK IT as i have learned the hard way and just pull it out.

That bolt is 14mm if I remember correctly. A 14mm crows foot wrench works great for this! You can get a craftsman one for a couple bucks. Anyways, mark the distributors position with the intake. Use a sharpie and mark the distributor and intake so yo can line it back up! Also, make another mark on the rotor and one on the distributor to line up the rotor when you put it back in! Unless you rotate the engine with the distributor out, it should go back in without having to time it. Even if you do rotate the engine, you can get the #1 piston to TDC and line up the rotor with the #1 spark plug tower on your distributor cap and then line up your mark on the intake! Matt
