LG4 cam

Will a production lt1 cam work with a mechanical fuel pump? On gmpartsdirect they said that the lt1 cam had a fuel pump lobe but do the normal production (ie out of a 94-97 lt1) cams have one too?

Let me rephrase a little bit. I have an 87 lg4. It has a roller cam and I think it has a mechanical fuel pump - ie i need the lobe on what ever cam i use. I have pretty much decided on a production lt1 cam. Am I gonna need an electric pump to run this cam or can i keep my mechinical pump (assuming i have one. I can't see crap through all the emissions and a/c BS still on the car).

Should be a mech pump on 87 LG4 - my brothers 87 LG4 has mech. pump. He is doing LT1 cam as we speak - picked up electrical pump and block off plate at local parts store for under $50 i think.
