My friend has a 74 midget with a coolant leak. A couple of ppl have told him about this fluid that you pour into the radiator, and its stops the leak. Does anyone know about this product?

IMO Barsleak..........hands down! Used it for years.
My brother-in-law repairs radiators for a living and says it is about the best leak stopper he has seen short of actual repair or core replacement.

Pepper will work, if the crack is not too big. The pepper grains are large enough to be forced TO the crack, as they float in the water, but cannot get out THRU the crack, as they are too big. Enuff of them block the crack, water leak temporarily fixed (hopefully).

Barsleak is the best I have ever used. Had an intake manifold leak 3 years ago. Cost of repair was going to be $450 +. Bought a can of barsleak for $3.00 Everyone said it won't hold, your heater core will plug up, etc. Now 3 years later and 10K miles later not one problem. I figured I saved $447.00.

I heard that most of those stop leak products could stop up the cores in the radiator, and if your gonna take it out might as well have them recore it and recap it at the same time.
