Ignition module?
I'm trying to narrow down a stumbling problem my car has under light throttle. I installed a new Accel 300+ ignition last summer that "supposedly" bypasses the ignition module in the distributor. Could a faulty module, still affect drivability, even though its not an integral part anymore?
I'm pretty sure the problem is sensor or injector related, but I just want to know if I can rule the module out as a possibility.

I'm not sure what Accel means that they bypass the module? That doesn't seem possible. Maybe it overrides what the module says? I know that's the same thing as bypassing, but not really.
The only way to tell if the module is bad is take it out and over to AutoZone, Advance, etc. and have them check it. Even then it may seem OK on their test bench. So the only other option is to buy one adn try it, or unhook the Accel unit.

Well, when I was buying the ignition from Summit, I thought I would buy an Accel module to go with it. They told me I didnt need the module because the 300+ box overides it. I was suspicious of this, so I called Accel and they said the same thing.
I was just wondering, if it is faulty, would it still cause problems.
