nasty oil leak help! :(
well i had just finished my 350 swap and the car ran fine the first day except my oil sender unit was reporting 50 at idle and just pegs with any throttle - day two cam around and a small oil leak appeared - dripping of the right side of the bell housing - there also was a small drip on the oil filter so i tightened that a little more - day 3 comes around and the leak has turned major - i opened the flywheel check to look inside the bell housing - everything inside was saturated with oil - also my clutch was slipping if i gave it anything more than about 1/8th throttle - so im pretty sure its the rear main - which at the time of installation i was totally **** about sealing it right - any way my question is could it be anything else - i do not believe there are any freeze plugs in that area - my oil pump way suppose to be stock replacement and there shouldn't be any pressure in the crank case if it was even that high right? - my temp beater car was hit and pretty messed up so now with my camaro broken i have no way to get to college!
oh yeah when i stopped driving after about 15 mins, last time i drove it, smoke was billiowing out of the bellhousing - also i pulled the dipstick and the cap and smoke was comming out of there too - a lot less though but still...

There are oil gallery plugs in the rear face of the block. There is also a pressed plug over the rear of the camshaft bore. All of these are subjected to oil pressire, as well as the rear main seal.

Is it leaking above the bellhousing and dripping down or is it actually coming out the back of the block inside the bellhousing?
