Push rods... does size really matter too much????
Push rods... does size really matter too much????
Ok ... I recently purchased an engine. I have to buy some pushrods. It's a small blockk 350. And the builder recommend getting 7.794" rods. Would 7.800" fit just as well?.... I need to hurry an order these rods so... please help me out ASAP!
thanx
oh yeah the ones I'm looking at are Trick Flow.

You need to stop abusing the TTT privledge.... just do it once every 4 hours or so, not every 30 minutes...it doesn't need to be at the top for people to see it...

What difference is it if it's at the top or not. I just scroll down the list to the oldest message I've read. If your message gets burried then I never read it or didn't care.
Buy the proper pushrods so that the drivetrain geometry is correct. That's why you invest in a pushrod length checker. Pushrods come in lengths in .050 increments. from 7.750 then next size available is 7.800. The 7.800 is standard length SBC. Depending on cam base circle, valve install height and rocker/pedistal position, the pushrod legth could be anything. Do a mockup with a factory pushrod and see what the valve train geometry is first before ordering longer or shorter pushrods.
