I was putting gas in my car, not realizing it i put in the super 93 octane gas. I still had like 1/4 tank of the regular 87 octane. So i mixed the gas by accident.I have notice to when i first start my car it runs like it wants to die almost but won't. Now did i just screw up my car or is it fine.

 

It'll be fine. People switch octanes all the time depending on what they can afford at the time. hehe

 

Should be alright. If you've got too high octane of gas it could make your car stall, though. That may be the problem with the idling.

I'm curious, why would it ping if he put a higher octane gas in? I could understand if he had a car tuned for 93 octane and put in 87..

 

Don't worry about it....your car will be thankful you messed up.
