We have the engine out of my 86 Camaro right now, putting all new gaskets and such in it. I would hate to throw the engine back in after porting the heads on it, gasket matching the TPI, Descreening the MAF, Gutting the cat, removing the AIR, and other little free mods. Well I would hate to throw the engine back in without throwing away that blasted peanut cam for something decent. The engine is stock. 305 Tuned Port out of an 86 Iroc. Just the things mentioned above. My question is, what type of cam would be a good thing for this car. This is on an extreme budget, and remember the car is a hydralic motor, not a roller motor. What cam would you guys suggest, remember CHEAP.
and one last question, would we need to get a chipped burned if we put in a new cam?
