The support arm is the torque arm. Just make sure the tranny has a warranty for at least 30 days.

Your trans is not a th350. it is a th250. It is simular.
No th350's have the torque arm mount. But B&M makes a good adapter kit to allow you to install a th350 in a third gen Fbody
and hook up the torque arm. It works well.
There are three tail shaft lengths on th350's {short med, and long.}
You can install all three of them but will need the coresponding right drive shaft. The short th350 is the same length as the stock fbody th250 you have now. (and most common 4 speed manuals and th2004r's). The medium length one is near the same length as a th700r4.
Generally the short th350's are found in older camaros, chevelles
etc The longer ones are found in large full size cars and trucks.

Dimensions

A 250? You mean a 200C? Never heard of a 250... was this just an '82 thing?

remember to look at the fluid and make sure its still bright red and smell it, if it smells burnt I wouldn't get it.

I probably saved myself some troubles in the long run by doing that when I had my old car.

Just look and see if it has a vacuum modulator if it does it is a TH350 if it doesn't it is a TH200/250. The pans look the same but has less bolts.

Yep but one big difference is the TH200c is stamped (METRIC) and TH350 or TH375 have no markings.

Pan bolts

11 = 200C
13 = 350

If you still need a picture of a 200c just scream. I have one sitting in my garage.

BTW: I've bought trannies at the boneyard, but only to rebuild them. Iiiii don't know if I would trust a transmission sitting in mud for 5 years.
Also I only pay about 50 bucks for TH-350's as is. Yeap - drained about two quarts of mud and sand out of them.

I think I changed my mind. I decided to have the mine rebuilt. When I talked to the guy from the junkyard he told me that he would charge me like 350 for a tranny and he actually suggested it would be more economical to rebuild mine. especially if I take it out.

Yeah, be careful the 200c and the 350 have very similar pans. I thought i had the original 200c till i changed the fluid and found that the 200c gasket wasn't the right one.

early in the '83 model year the 200C was available as standard equipment. It was later dropped.
