It's all put back together....crank and nothing
I swapped in an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and it's the first time I've ever done it and so I crank it up with my fingers crossed and I get one crank and it dies...so I figure, cool, I know, the distributor must be 180*, no biggie...
But before I decide to spin it around I try cranking it again just to make sure and maybe I'll get a backfire...I get nothing...this whole time my dad's van is charging the battery and everything is dead...I left it charging for 10 minutes and nothing happened, no lights, fuses are not blown, everything seems fine, just no power.
So here I am excited that I might have possibly installed my distributor right but not sure what the heck is wrong...Did the starter just drain the remaining juice out of the battery...I haven't been nice to the battery at all lately and have probably drained it 30 times so I'm sure it's dead...
Or maybe I'm wrong...please help...oh yea, and check out my other post on the throttle return spring, I can't figure out where that goes
Thanks

You've got an ignition problem if the car doesn't even turn over. Put a volt meter on that battery and see if you get anything over 12 volts.
Do you even get a 'click' sound when you turn the key?
