Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
So what are the actual specs of this motor?

She had the duration listed at 560* I don't think that's right.

BTW...... a Holley Contender intake??? That is a SERIOUS intake manifold. Hopefully you'll love having NO lower RPM torque.

Wheel spin won't be a problem unless you get a 3500 stall TC. Trust me, I had both a 355 and a 406 with that intake. It's not hard to get a good launch with it.

Congrats

Yeah LOL, the lady was very nice ..but she didnt know Jack about the motor..(typical wife) Her Husband is on the road. They needed cash to finish an addition on there house....He is calling me today to fill me in..She cant spell too well either. She is also sending me paperwork and a book that came with the engine from the builder..
So a few Questions..I know nothing about the Holley Intakes. This Car will be mostly Strip..No heat, No power steering, no anything.... I have the 94 for that .
I have a new in the box edelbrock RPM...would this be a better intake? Can I run it with the holley 800, with an adapter? is this a good Idea? ( Glad these small blocks are interchangeable).
2. Flexplate...I dont think Im getting one with the motor..what would I need to run a 700r4 or th350 I have both..I have a 2400 stall for the 700...but I was thinking the Th350 might be a better choice....I will have a bunch more questions as this new project opens up..I will get back with the specs,,,
Anyone run the moroso electric water pump???
Here is A pic..took her a long time to figure out how to upload it..I'm thinking she is a Blonde..

the holley intake is probably better than the edlebrock, however, if you want to change over, there is no need to run an adapter plate for that holley carb, they will bolt right on to either manifold.

Sweet lookin' motor! I would imagine you would need a 2pc rear main flexplate (I don't know if there's a difference in flexplate on a 1pc or 2 pc rear main seal block). I should probably ask if that's a 1 or 2 pc rear main crank on that new engine... . I have one here that was bolted up to a 700R4, with an older style block. It's 168 tooth, so I would imagine something similar to it. If that's what you need, I'll let this one go real cheap. Go with your TH350, if you're using it for strip, you really don't need that overdrive (hell you probably don't even need third ). TH350 will hold up to more regular thrashings on the strip, that's for sure.
