On my 89 Iroc w/the Bose sound system, the top dash panel doesn't line up with the defroster vents. I think it was replaced with the wrong year pad. It seems too short, when you line it up with the bolt holes, it leaves a 2" gap at the winshield and doesn't line up with the vents. Is there a different dash for those cars with the Bose?

 

Anyone?

Are you sure that you got a dash pad for a camaro and not a firebird? Because the firbird dash pad is molded differently because they dont' have the vents under the pad like camaros do.

I'm not sure, It came in the car. I paid $2500 dollars for the car last week, and it runs quite well. Just runs hot. I need to find a cheap relacement for the dash pad.

 

Check to see if the edge of the dash pad is molded so that it will fit around the top of the 2 center vents. Also a firbird dash pad will have differnt speaker grills on it they look like add ons. A camaro dash pad will have the speaker grills molded in the top of the pad.

If you do end up needing a replacement, they aren't cheap unless you find one in the junkyard. I think Classic Industries wants $300 or $500 or something for one !

 

I got mine from a junk yard for $40.
