Should the water pump be rotating clockwise or counter clockwise?
Should the water pump be rotating clockwise or counter clockwise?
I'm confused...and if it's backwards, what would happen? I run an electric drive pump so it's a matter of which wire is ground and which one is power.

I think it was supposed to be as long as its on the "outside" of the belt. Or the side of the belt that doesn't have the teeth. I think if it's backwards. It won't cool your motor. And I think it might blow hoses and posible your radiator.

I think all eletric water pumps are suppose to turn clockwise. The only water pumps that turn counterclockwise is on a serpintine drive setup. If its turning backward then the impellers are not moving the water as it is designed to.
