What happened to my times?
Well I went to the track yesterday and wasn't impressed. Since last year I've ported the plenum, put on AFPR and got some drag radials and the best I could get was 14.12 @ 100 with a 2.00 60 ft. Last year I was running 13.80's at 101 with 60 ft. in the 1.95-2.00 range. Although it was warm and humid yesterday I was at least expecting mid to high 13's results from these mods. I had forgotten my timing light at home so I couldn't really play with it at the track but tested when I got home and somehow it was only at 6*. Could this have been my lost performance as usually around 10* seems best?

I should add a couple of things. First of all when I hit the finish line my rpm's were only 4000-4500. They usually were right at about 5500 before. Also alot of guys said they were running a little slower than usual but I don't know whether that was because of track conditions or the temp. Either way I wasn't impressed with my slower times. Any thoughts?

I would say that the humidity and heat along with the timing killed some performance. I turned my timing up a little and gained .4 seconds on my next run on the same day.
Hey 94 were you in St. Thomas for the F-body day? Just wondered. Anyway I just double checked my timing and it is only advanced 4*. Why did I have to forget my light yesterday? Does anyone run anything higher than 10*? Iwon't be going back to the track for another month so I won't be able to track test until then but I'd still like to hear what everyone else runs at.
