A little far fetched, but.....
I want to make my Kitt run with Vipers if possible. I was thinking about a 383 LT1 setup. In the ideal world, I'd like Kitt to be my daily driver, smoking Vipers, and modded muscle at stoplights on the way to work
. Is there anyway to do this while be easy on gas?
Thanks,

Well, it is theoretical. He's asking what it would take to make his car run with a Viper. Seems like theory to me...
Dude, how many Vipers do you see in Bastrop anyway?

Thanks, There are a few things you can do to ensure good gas mileage like an overdrive transmission, relatively high (numerically low) rear gears and so fourth. But in all honesty, I would just buy a beater that gets good gas mileage and say screw gas mileage on your toy. Build a 383/406 and have fun with it, just remember that Gen 1 small block chevy's will go just as fast for a LOT less money. I used to care about gas mileage too, but in all honesty if you are having fun with your car and have another car to daily drive it isnt a big deal.

I post something that involves an actual race and it gets lock
I forgot, Hitler reborn runs some of the forums....
You sure as **** don't need a LS1 swapped in or even an LT1 to run with a Viper. You can build up a conventional SBC to run with em, just have to make everything work together

I know I don't need a fuel injected ride to run fast, but for everyday driveability purposes, i figured an LT1 would be a good bet.

I know I will get a lot of flack for this, but it seems to me dual purpose machines cost a hell of a lot, and do a few things mediocore as opposed to one thing really well. If your budget can afford it then by all means go for it. But with all honesty, if you just want a fast street machine, build it with speed in mind and buy another car with daily driving in mind.

the more things you want it to do, the more money it'll take.. the better you want it to perform, the more money it takes..
i say turbocharge a SBC and have an electronic boost controle *** at your fingertips.. end result will be what you're looking for.. but it'll cost to get there.

Well, as far as comparing a Viper to an F-Body, consider the Viper to be a big block... I would pass on the 383 and go with a 400... when you are comparing your car with one that has 488ci, you want as many CI as you can get
