I am thinking of getting the GMPP 350HO Deluxe. It says it is complete, carb - pan. Do i need anything for it besides spark plugs/wires, and i mean anything?

Inadequate information. What year is it, and what's currently in your ride: V-6 or V-8; carb, TBI, or TPI; auto or stick? What are you going to do with it: daily driver, street/strip, race-only?

I think it was Car Craft or GM Performance that had an article this month on everything else you need. They had a complete list with part numbers and prices. It seemed pretty complete to me, and actually reminded me of a couple of items that I was missing(like wire looms).

Well, now you're starting to give info we can use to answer your question.

You'll need new tranny (or flywheel & clutch - you didn't say if you have auto or manual tranny - flex plate comes with the engine), shifter cable if auto, front & rear mounts, all accessory brackets, starter (like you said), battery cables, radiator, fan, hoses, belts, wiring harness (or extensively mod the V-6 harness), fuel pump & lines (or regulator and associated lines to drop the fuel pressure if your V-6 is SPFI), air cleaner, vacuum lines, power steering lines, front springs and swaybar (do the front mounts while you have the lower control arms off to change the springs - best way to get at those engine mount bolts). You'll also have to reroute the front brake line where it goes across the front crossmember. Your current tach also won't be accurate with the V-8.

If you need to maintain emissions legal status, you're in for even more fun. The best way to go about that is with a complete V-8 parts car. And, the carb they give you with the engine won't be emissions legal. I assume that isn't an issue, or you wouldn't consider this swap in the first place.

Even if you don't need to worry about emissions, a donor car would still be worth it to get all these parts.

One other thing you'll need - alternate transportation for a couple of months.
