Putting a car in storage.

My friend is in the military and is going overseas for two years. He doesn't want to bring his 72 camaro with him so he's going to leave in in his parents garage. He wants to know what to do to a car that is going to be sitting for two years.

There is a company that makes a product called the "Omni Bag" it is like a giant garbage bag that will hold a car. They give you a dessicant to absorb the moisture in the bag and some clamps to seal it.
I like to slowly pour oil into the carb until there is smoke everywhere and the engine dies. This will coat everything from the carb to the tailpipes with a film of oil to protect it. I have used the bags indoors and they work excellent. I havent tried them outside, but they are supposed to be OK. You can find them listed in "Hemmings Motor News" or other restoration magazines.
