Help with wiring the torque converter lockup (diagram included)

I don't want to be stupid about this so I drew a diagram to help figure this out...What I'm trying to is wire a lockup switch and MeanYellowZ said there were 3 wires that came from the tranny plug and there are, but I'm not sure which ones I'm supposed to use for the switch...Could somebody help me out? Thanks.

On my transmission that came from 700R4.com, you wire your manual lockup switch into pin "D" on the connector. Basically your fused hot wire goes to the brake pedal switch and then to pin "A" on the connector for fourth gear only automatic lockup. You splice into the wire going to "A" and then go through your manual lockup switch and connect it to pin "D". This prevents the transmission from locking up when the brake pedal is depressed even if the manual switch is closed.

Anybody know offhand what those colors are pins A&D because that would require me to jack up the car again and I'd rather not if I could get away with somebody letting me know...

Thanks for the help Hurtin4HP! One question though...even if Pin B is not used, there's still a wire coming from it right? Because I have three wires...

It's too bad someone doesn't have some sort of electronic circuit or computer to figure out when to operate the lockup clutch in the converter. If they did, they could probably be the richest corporation in the history of the world!

is that a sarcastic way of asking why you would want to ignore the ecm's control of the lockup and do it yourself???

craze,

Jus' pullin' yer chain, dude.

It can be done, but make sure you route power through the brake pedal switch if you're going to totally rewire it.

The original TCC lockup used a relay, and the ground lead from the relay coil should have been on terminal "F" of the ALDL connector, if that helps. The wire to the brake switch (Terminal "A") is pink/black, and the wire from the brake switch (Terminal "B") should be purple. This wire connects to terminal "A" ont the TCC relay, and the relay was controlled by the ECM by grounding terminal "B". If you use the same relay to control the TCC, it will already be connected correctly and fused, as well as routed through the brake pedal switch. All you'll have to do is provide ignition power through your manual control switch to terminal "A" on the brake switch (wire 39) and a ground on terminal "B" on the TCC relay - two connections and you're done.
