Sleeve for plug wire boot?

By my work today they had a fathers day classic car show. Really nice cars ranging from Bel-Air's, chumpstangs, buncha malibu's, a GTO, camaros, and an iroc (YEA!). anyways on a 68 RS i was lookin under the hood one of the wires touched the header like mine and it had some sort of sleeve to make a barrier between the boot and the header. Slowly but surely my boot is freakin meltin g (i can smell it) and i haven't had time to fix it. Well i'll be out of school this week and wanna take care of it so does anybody know what they had on there or any cheap alternative that i can do? maybe tuck sumthin in between that will be heat resistant? I finally have time to take care of a couple car things since the headers have been installed being this and the stupid 02 sensor. Thanx in advance.

I used these:

...when I installed my headers about a year ago and they have worked great.

Thanx for the replies. I was browsing summit for the parts and i came across MSD Self Vulcanizing Tape. would this work if i wrap it around the boot? Most likely im going to get pro sleeve guard boot but im looking for a cheap alternative since I will be going to LA and need the $$$.

No, that will burn up quickly. Get fire sleeves for the plug boots, there is no "cheap" alternative that will hold up at all.
