car stalls at idle...what could be the problem?

i recently advanced the timing on my car and lately it has been stalling at idle. the idle bounces up and down sometimes, and stalls. could it be too advanced? i didn't think that this could be the problem, buty who knows. what else could be causing this? other than that, it runs pretty good, no other problems.

My MAP sensor was causing that condition on my engine. How much did you advance the ignition? If you advanced the timing too far the engine ~could~ be detecting some detonation and is having to contantly retard and advance the timing although I do not believe this is very likely. Try retarding the base ign. timing and see if the the problem persists.
