Two days with nos, engine is blown

Just put nitrous on two days ago. I was running a 100 shot.I could not get the throttle activated switch to work so I hotwired it through the toggle switch. Little did I know that that would cost me my motor. Well I ran this turbo 300zx last night and we got too close to the cars in front of me, well I hit my brakes and forgot to turn off the nitrous. Needless to say all I heard was clanking noises. It will start but makes noises and pours white smoke. Any ideas as to what I did? WIll I need machine work? I am selling my tuneport injection system with ecm, and all sensors(going carb on buildup).I am also selling my new nos kit for a tuneport if anyone wants it.

Just curious...

How much do you want for the NOS set-up?

What brand is it?

Sorry to hear about the motor, I don't know a thing about NOS, but how much did you want for the TPI kit with the ECM?
You can reach me at burntblues@hotmail.com.

Thanks, Mike

Please someone correct me if I am wrong. I think you probably burnt your pistons and/or ruined your piston rings. A friend of mine warped his piston rings and it smoked white smoke all the time till he did a rebuild. Then another guy I don't know but talked to for a while left his nitrous on and burnt up his pistons. Good Luck.

Probably didn't burn a hole thru the piston, but may have cracked the skirt or something. And definately took out the top ring and probably the second as well.

Reguardless of what you did, the engine will probably have to be pulled to be repaired. That's why it's important to have an arm and activation switch on NOS and it should only engage at WOT. Improperly installed and you had problems. Can't blame the NOS system for that. I've had NOS on my truck for about 3 years now. I'd have to guess and say I put about 200 pounds of NOS through my engine so far and still drive it daily with no problems.

White smoke usually means antifreeze. Check your coolent level and spark plugs. You may have blown a head gasket.

no offense to you, but this shows the others considering nos that it can be friendly, but is not something to be almost right. nos needs to have everything working ok or this kind of thing can happen. at least you got two passes on it. so, how did it feel though for them two passes??

Yeah I know it was nobodys fault but mine. Thats what u get for half assing something. I am not pissed at anyone but me. It was awesome, though to feel your tires break loose at 40 MPH. I scared the **** outa that turbo 300zx. He somehow stayed with me for a sec though. Are those twin turbo cars? Do yall think machine work will be needed?

The setup is from NOS, and it is only 4 days old. I would like to get 400.00 dollars out of it considering that it cost me 557.00. E-mail me with an offer if that is too much. brandog1021@hotmail.com . I dont know what to ask for the tuneport and ecm, any suggestions as to what it is worth? I will have it pulled off next week.

The 300Zx is a Twin Turbo car and I think you'll only know upon teardown whether or not you'll have to have some machine work done. Ive seen similar accidents blow the TPI to pieces, you're lucky the damage was contained to just the motor!
