Stewart Water Pump does not fit!!!
OK, this is an extension to my last thread. This Stewart Water Pump will not go on!!!! I've got the top right bolt back in, but the top left will not go. The bolt holes WILL NOT line up. It's almost like the Stewart Pump is TOO BIG. I can't lift it any higher. WTF!
Is there a trick to this or is this a common problem? It almost appears that the Stewart Pump needs to be machined downed on the top left corner.
What do I do now?

No tricks to replacing the pump, it should go right on if it was correctly machined and if you got the right pump, can you compare the bolt holes to the old pump? Do the holes in the gasket match the pump? If not then they might have screwed up on the machine work and I would return it.

Man, this sucks. I've got to be at base of 0730 tommorrow, and now I have to go buy another damn water pump tonight and put it on.
To answer your questions, yes the bolt holes match up and yes everything looks correct. But I was always under the impression that Stewart just took old pumps, put a different propellar in them and different bearings and that was it.
This sucks big time. Thank goodness there's an Autozone like 5 miles from my house.

Well, luckily my father has a grinder, so I just to it to that for a little and all fits well now. It's just amazing that a company like Stewart would send something out like that. Well, they'll be hearing from me tommorrow.
And now it's bed time.
