I am sure you guys get this question alot, bbc conversion?
okay well im just wondering because you havent mentioned a few of these things...
What are you doing with the rear end of the car because i dont see a 10 bolt holding up to a mildly (if you can even say that) built up 496 for more then about 3 seconds.
What do you plan suspension wise because you can make as much power as you want if your suspension sucks your just going to waste a lot of it
Check out www.kennybrown.com they make good sfc's but not super cheap.

yeah, this is all true. i would look into a moser direct bolt in 9" or 12 bolt. they are not cheap at all but the are imensly stong. what about your tranny, your not planning using the 700r4 are you? it will tear that thing to shreads. i would go with spohn suspension.

I am doing what you guys think is insane. I am going to rebuild the 700 with some good quality parts, and a shift kit and see how it holds, i havea turbo 400 for backup yet. Well the rear end, yeah, that is staying in there until it blows. I am going to competition engeineering for there frame connectors just becasue i can order thorugh summit, they only cost 85$ and should do the job all right. The suspension is up in the air right now. Tubular a arms would be nice with some different springs so better transfer, but i am going to see how it drives first before i start doing all that stuff. What is your .02 cents on that?

if you already have a 400 why on gods earth would you even waste money on parts for a 700? put the money into the 400, it'll actually last

Remember, 16 year old student here. And, i am getting the 700 done for free, the 400 is already built. I just want to see if it will hold, i wont be racing it to crap anyways, so i should be in good shape.
