Thanks to everyone! (& second thoughts)
Thanks to everyone! (& second thoughts)
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for all your help over the years. I have described this forum to many friends and described my amazement at how fast, friendly, and amazingly knowlegeable you guys are about 3rd gen camaros. Though I'm usually a lurker, I have described obscure problems I've had in a post, and had a response within MINUTES describing EXACTLY what's wrong and how to fix it. Every single time, it has been right on!
Anyway, so I've always wanted a corvette- and recently, I bought one off ebay, a '92 convertible. Now this may be a grass-is-greener thing... I haven't really had the chance to drive one until now. Frankly, I LOVE driving the car, it's great fun and I could drive all day. My dog is a big fan of the convertible top too...
BUT I have posted my camaro to ebay to help finance the 'vette. Now, I'm looking at both cars, and considering the pros and cons. The Vette, though fun to drive is horribly impractical- no trunk and a pain to climb into/out of. No back seats, and the little storage compartment is a joke. I honestly am a big fan of the styling of both cars, but when you consider some of the stuff I've hauled around in the camaro- well I find it amazing what that car can do. Now when you consider that I could get an LT1 engine and 6 speed gearbox for a 3rd gen camaro for the cost of the vette. I could have the perfect car- I could even get a convertible! Anyway, for now I'm going to follow through on the sale of the camaro, and maybe I'll grow into the vette- but somehow I see myself gravitating back to camaros in the coming months. Next time round, maybe I'll pick up a fully restored one so I don't need to spend as much time in the garage.
Anyway, I have been spending more time in the corvette forums lately, but I'm sure I'll stop by here on occasion to see whats new. Thanks again!
