LT-1 starter, quick question??
Do I have to specify if the starter is for an auto or stick when getting the LT-1 starter for my L98??

I just went to Advance Auto Parts and told them I needed one for a 96 Z-28. The starters should be the same. One of the best mods I've done so far.

Yaa, that's what I ended up doing, said 95 though, same thing. I am installing it tonight. What did you do with the bolts that are too long??

go to the dealer and get the right bolts. they are shorter. get them for a 96 Z. i had the same trouble when i put the 96' LT1 starter on my L98. the earlier LT1's used the same starter bolts as our L98's.

i got one for a 93 corvette. the bolts for me were too long also. used washes to make up the distance. also had to put in a 1/16" shim.
