flushing a/c system

what is the proper procedure to flush the a/c system? what chemical or solvent is used to flush out the a/c components?

i've searched but found no "procedure" on how to properly flush out the a/c system.

i'm going to replace the cheap *** four seasons crap that's on there now. (chain store reman crap) the "new" compressor is a known good used compressor.

should i completely disassemble the a/c system? the evaporator core has to stay in the car. too much work . how should i flush the condensor? hoses? compressor? what procedure is used? the a/c will be staying r-12. currently the system oil looks to be grayish color (not good).

i know i will have to replace the orifice and the accumulator. does anything else need to replaced? what is the proper procedure to refill the a/c. i know i will put the system in a vacuum after the components are flushed out and clean. when charging i should not exceed 40 psi on the low side correct?

i have all the hvac tools needed except the flush thing. gauges, pump, etc..

please help i want to get my a/c back together asap but want to function properly.

that was helpful. the problem i had the last time is getting the first can to go in as a liquid. i couldn't get the whole can in maybe a 1/4 of it went in. the rest stayed in the can. any suggestions?

i don't want to slug the compressor.
