Motor Ideas
right now I am just getting ideas, but help if you can
This will be a street motor, with some mild bracket racing
2 bolt 1 piece rear main 350 bored .030 over
5.7 rods (stock?)
forged pistons, approx. 10-1 comp.
cast iron Bowtie heads, 2.02/1.60 valves
cam??--hyd. roller
roller rocker arms
TPI (at first, will probably go HSR)
Auto trans.(700R4)
converter??
Ok , what do you guys recommend for a cam and convertor?
how about a LT4 hotcam?
if possibly, I'd like a decent lope at idle, but still be OK on the street
Thanks

You have lots of options.
Whatever you might decide, I'd suggest taking a long look at PVS rockers before deciding to use them. I've just had a less-than stellar experience with them. Fortunately, only the push rods suffered, and the valves didn't get damaged with the schrapnel. I'm running on stock stamped rockers for now (as of this afternoon) until I can devise an action plan. I determined that the rocker stud slots were designed for 7/16" studs, and allowed a bit too mush lateral movement until the roller tips fell off the valve tips. It may be guide plate time. Fortunately, I planned ahead and milled the bosses when screwing the studs.
