I've also seen that occur when the membrane switches in the door get contaminated with water, begin to corrode, and the copper oxide creates a conductive path without even having the switches depressed.

Either that, or you car is "posessed" and you should get out and run away as fast as you can...

Also, if you have remote locks... or maybe the car had keyless entry at some point, you may want to check and see if the receiver could be causing your problem. In John (the name I gave my winter car) my doors used to do the same thing and my truck would release at random as well. That was no fun considering I had an expensive sound system in it at the time.

I thought that it was a ground or something at first as well, but I found out later that the car had origionally had a keyless entry system. When I found the receiver and pulled the wires out... the problem stopped.

I had the same problem. I had the windows down a little to let the heat out while I was at work. It started raining and got the switch wet. I was driving home and the locks would lock then unlock rapidly over and over. I thought "what the hell" Almost caused me to wreck.

I cleaned the switches and all was good.

Okay, no offense taken:lala: It is just that usually if someone says ***** and is looking in my direction is looking to tangle. .

Trust me, I know what it is like to dump a ton of money into a car, and still have problems. I have dumped 4k (including cost of car) into mine and have yet to get it running (need more parts, which means more which I have very little of).

Just the fun of the hobby.
