How hard is it to replace Tranny Mount?
How difficult is it to replace and about how long do you think it should take to replace the tranny mount on a 700R? Is it a fairly simple job or complex? Thanks for the help!
its really not that hard to replace.. just a pain to set up... you need to have your car up in the air on jack stands or a lift... then support your trans with a jack or a trans jack. The way i would do it is unbolt it from the trans... then unbolt the trans cross memeber, take off the mount.. swap new one on, bolt cross member back up .. bolt trans mount back on...

I did this one a while back, wasn't too tuff at all. Big Al's procedure sounds about right, but I never unbolted the cross member. I just undid the actual mount bolt, and I was able to tilt the whole engine tranny combo up the little amount that was needed to slip out the old one and slip in the new one. Total time ~ 20 min.

On a "difficulty scale" of 1-10, I'd put it at about -3. It's easier than a tune-up; maybe a little more difficult than changing the oil, but not much.
It will take longer to get the car jacked up and supported on stands than the actual job will take. Make sure you use jack stands.
