Ticket for tire noise!!! How about that!

I was next to my friend at a stop light. We both cherped our tires. Just horseing around of course. Well thier was a cop in the gas station next to us, in witch we didnt notice. The cop pulled out real quick and pulled us over and gave us a ticket for "tire noise". Anybody else had one?

I am trying to find the "technical" part of your question?

With a "tire chirp", the policeman could have ticketed your for "exhibition of power/speed" if he was in a nasty mood. Consider yourself lucky.

I believe a "burn out" is called an embrodie.. or something like that. I know SEVERAL people who received tickets for that.

Thanks,
John

I got one for my tire making a noise going around a cornor. You know how it might do that if you were going a little to fast but not enough to do it on purpose? Not squealing the tires, but just a little noise.

We went to court and I fought it, but the officer told the Judge that I left two big black marks in the road. I felt flattered but the officer lied and I got a $50 ticket.

Anyone ever see the movie "My Cousin Vinny?" There's a great courtroom scene where they discuss Positraction in great detail.

Raven, go watch that movie and see if you can fight that ticket again.

I had that happen here in NC the other day. After asking him if he wanted to race I had the pleasure of a full vehicle search. Since I have Mass. plates, he said that I would have most likely been carring drugs (where I go to school is right off of I-85, one of the largest drug trafficking highways.) I was a little perturbed, even more so since I didn't even chirp the tire!
