lack of power????

Ever since I got my new 700r4 installed I have been lacking power. I dont know if the new trans has anything to do with it but I started really noticing it since I have gootn the car back. From a standstill the car acts pretty quick. When I am doing about 15-40 and hit the gas hard 3/4 or wot I dont go anywhere like I used to.
another weird thing is I either have power in the upper rpm range or the lower rpm range but never at the same time . What I mean is sometimes I will be driving around and my car will act normal at low speeds when I hit the gas at about 10mph but if I am doing like 70 and hit it it sucks. But later in the day when I am driving after the car has been shut off and restarted My low end power will suck and when I floor it at 70 it moves damn quick.
can some one explain why my car sucks like either one of these two situations?

I went side by side at 15-20 mph with an Explorer, some kind of 4 door nissan, a camary, and other not so quick cars and they all started to pull away or keep up with me. But froma stand still I take everyone.

sounds like maybe it's not downshifting. take it back to the shop and have them adjust the tv cable.

I am beginig to think its not down shifting either. I haven't really payed attention to this. And really cant tell because the trans shifts soo smmothly ( too smoothly) compared to my old trans did. I know I would see the rpms but I havent payed attention. I see on my way home today.

ya, its the TV cable.

when the shop replaced your tranny, they probably didnt adjust the TV cable. i had the same problem when i replaced mine. i just took it a local tranny shop and a guy came out, fiddled with it for about 30 seconds and away i went. it has shifted fine ever since. so try that first.
