winshield washer fluid

i had no idea where to post this question. on my 86 trans am, where is the motor that pumps the windshield washer fluid. is it part of the motor that moves the winshield wipers? my windshield wipers work fine. also, could my problem be in the wirering. how would i trouble shoot that. is the a place that i can hook a hot wire to test the pump.

tia.

Not sure on the changeover year, but it's either in the washer fluid tank or it's part of the wiper motor. Check all the line to make sure they aren't plugged.

Just checked the GM parts catalog, 88 fbody is in the wiper motor & just the pump can be replaced with pn 22049373.

follow the rubber lines from the tank to the wiper motor housing, once you fond where they connect tug gently downward on the 2 nipples. once it is out apply power to the 2 terminals. they are a common item to fail.
