Roller Lifter Question

I think I mixed up the roller lifters in the engine, Is there anyway to find out which way they have to point cause i know they are angled to keep the cam in the enigne. Is there a way to find out so I don't have to buy new ones.

um they're not angled and when you set the lifters in the bores, there are holders that hold 2 of them in correctly and then the "spyder" that holds all the plates down

you can't put them in wrong, well you could if you really tried, but basically if the fit in the holes, the roller is on the cam lobe and the retainers and spyder fit it's all good.

but doesn't the lifter have to stay matched to the lifter hole in the block?

Not roller ones. They don't wear to "match" the cam like flat ones do. Flat ones will be destroyed by going back on the wrong cam lobes, but rollers don't matter.
