lol...flamthrower exhaust.

ok, i saw some stupid kit that lets you do this for 125 bucks. im assuming this is bs and you can do it the same way with 2 coils, two plugs, and some wire and a switch.

my question here is, Can this in any way lead up the exhaust and harm the engine or ignite some sort of deposits in the mufflef and cause an explosion of any sort.

if not, does anyone know a way to do it without the kit.

It shoudn't hurt anything. Use spark plugs. I have seen someone do it that way. Thread it into the exhaust tips. You would have to have propane to ignite as well. Not sure how the sparkplugs get powered. Probably a coil of some kind.

you shouldnt have to feed it propane at all.....also, i think it has to be a pulsating spar, and if you wire it up without a way to pulse it wont pulse and possibly blow the whole muffler off the car....dont get me wrong, id love to see that, but not on my car lol

That's been a favorite high-school trick since the 30s that I know of, when people would tie an extra piece of spark plug wire to their F*rd flat head V8's coil and run it back to the tail pipe.

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, 'See, this is new'? it hath been already of old time, which was before us."

— A much wiser man than me, c. 760 BC, which was even before the first production V8 (a Chevrolet product incidentally)
