Fuel filter / O2 sensor

Where is the fuel filter located, exactly?? i did a quick check in the rear but didn't quite see it

and is there a special tool for removing the O2 sensor? I have a '87 350 TPI and we have practically no tool that can get it out (some come close.. but no-go) Do I have to remove the exhaust manifold, or something? I hope I don't have to...

thanks

oh you mean fuel filter its probably somewhere under your car by the framerails, just follow your fuel lines back from under the hood to your tank, your bound to run into it somewhere

You can probably get a cheapie from an auto parts store (maybe). If you plan to keep it forever check this http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/pro_d...re&dir=catalog

It is a special socket (7/8" deepwell 3/8" drive with a slot cut up the side of it for the wire harness) that most parts stores carry. They usually run between $15 & $20 depending on where you go. Just ask for the O2 sensor socket and specify that it is for a GM car.
Almost forgot, your fuel filter is located just forward of the left rear wheel and is mounted in a bracket attached to the frame. No insult to your intelligence meant here, so please don't take offense, but use two wrenches when removing the lines from the filter. A friend of mine didn't and had to replace the lines because he twisted them in two.
