doors drooping, you have to slam to close

I have noticed that my door has gotten alot harder to shut, you basicly have to slam the som of a bitch, sorry I shouldn't talk about my car like that. I was wondering if it is the hinges, and how i would fix it, or the door hatch mechanism, It feels more like the door hatch but can't fix it, anyone have any ideas or the same problem?

looks like ur going to need new hinges, a better way to tell is just check out the space btw the door and the body when it is shut.. if its the same at the top and bottom of the rear of the door when its shut, then hinges are fine, its the lock. if not, then new hinge(s)

hey bro..had the same prob with my car...what i did was loosen the bolts on the door hinges..theres a couple between the door and a couple inside the kick panel...then took a floor jack and put it under the wide part of the door toward the front...and jacked the door all the way up..then tapped the hinges up as far as they would go (with a screwdriver and hammer) and then tighten it back down..see what that does. hope this helps.

I would probably check the bushings first, see if they are ruined or not. The bushings are usually the cheapest and easiest way to correct the problem. Our doors are heavy, the bushing go quickly. You can replace them though without totally messing with the door, look at these first...

I have the same problem,I'll get to it someday hopefully before the door falls off! is it only your drivers door? mine was caused by the door not closing all the way, usually because my leg is in the way when i close the door. make sure your door closes all the way to keep the problem under control. hinge bushings can be done without taking the doors off.

They make a tool for that spring. I don't have one, but I think I may get one before I do mine! I've used one before, and it does make it a bunch easier!
