weird heating problem
When I turn on my heater (or defroster, or anything) I get nice hot heat out of the defroster vent but I get COLD COLD COLD air out of somewhere under the dash!
Turning the little fan speed **** does changes nothing. Moving the selector to any option always gives defrost.

Bleak,
If the heater core has been replaced, it is possible that the plastic case was not reassembled correctly. This could allow for air leakage into the passenger compartment. It's also possible that the air recirculation damper is partially stuck in the open position. This is the door that opens when you turn to "MAX AC" and allows some air from the passenger compartment to recirculate through the evaporator and heater cores. If the door is partially open, some cold air from the cowl can blow in at the passenger side footwell as well as following the "normal" path through the cores.
