My 86 Roc w/TPI and 200,000 miles Runs at 45-50 when hot and close to 60 when first started cold, at Idle it stays at 30 PSI hot. This is from a mech gauge I hooked up temporarly when my sending unit took a dump on me. I wouldnt trust the stock gauges to be accurate anyway.

When first started mine goes to about 60 or so and steadily goes down to around 15 at idle when fully warmed up. Cruising warm it will be in the 35-45 range depending on rpm. Full throttle gets her back up to near 60 again though. BTW, this is with mobil 1 5w30 oil and stock guage.

I see about 80 when cold cruising at 2500, drops to about 60 once warm...

At idle warm, 30-35...

This is with Kendall 20-50 and an Auto Meter gauge...

Yeah, the stock Camaro gauges are really only for getting a general idea of where things sit.

The gas gauge, for instance, is notorious for showing empty when you have nearly a 1/4 tank left!

Close to pegging-too high??

My oil pressure is close to the top of the range (90 PSI?) but its not pegged and that is where it stays most of the time while driving or idling. It may drop 5-10 PSI from there but definitely not below. Its a '84 Z28 w/ L69 and 5 speed. Engine is in original state with the only work done on it being the valve seals by the original owner. When I changed the oil after buying it, it was dirty but not sludged up. Could the sending unit be bad or the engine filled w/crud causing the higher oil pressure?

depends on what gauge you have, so no.

90+camaros for example have a gauge that means "dead empty i hope you can coast to a gas station" when the needle touches E

the real annoying part of every 3rdgen gas gauge is the shape of the tank makes the gauge move at diff speeds. fill up the tank completely... it stays near full for a long time, then will suddenly go down faster and faster.

more often, i stall as im pulling into the station since i have to either brake, or do a hard turn to pull in there...

having the engine die in a heavy car with power steering in the middle of a turn is always a great thing. builds arm muscle....

no, doing a y-turn in a rock pile with manual steering and 32's in a 74 land cruiser builds arm muscle!
