BS or a buff ride?

The guy has kind of a funny "tone" in his description, and he's with holding some important info (Dyno numbers, 1/4 mile times etc)

Plus what's with the engine sound track?? Quick! Rev it really high before oil gets to the engine!

It's kind of hard to believe that a NA motor could do that much, but I'm not experienced enough to know for sure.

It's one of those stories that sounds so crazy it has to be true. I'm sure some of it is fudged just a little bit, but I bet there's a lot of truth in it. I mean, he does have the pics to show it is built hardcore, but true, no numbers is always suspicious.

Some things don't seem to add up, though. He makes himself out to be incredibly rich, has two ex-wives, and all that stuff, yet he says stuff like "LOL" and has an AOL email account....and what's with the photographing the car in a public place that isnt even attractive?

I'd like to see someone who's seen the car in Super Chevy comment...

You guys lost me on the "technical" part of the thread. You know how the board is supposed to work...

EDIT: Well, I guess it there is more than a rhetorical question there. I just missed it.

You DO realize that the seller is a dealer, with about 15 vehicles listed on eBay, right? I'd be suspicious about anything posted in those dealer ads.

Thanks

Thanks, Vader.

How do you know it's a dealer? Not arguing here, but I looked at the page again and I don't know what in the ad tells me that.

I agree fully that any dealer is suspect.

How is that engine over $100k? I'll call on that. It does look fast, and expensive, but $220K is a little much. I could have a "Monty Williams Vette" for that.

I am sure it is not all that slow I'm sure it really moves but, I doubt it is as fast as he claims.

Well anything is possible as far as price, heck a toilet seat for uncle sam costs us $3,000.......so why not a $200,000 corvette.

I just dont see how a dual carb tunnel ram no emmision car with a shute covering the rear liscence plate is considered "street legal". Nice car though it would be fun to cruise around town in but Ive got my 3rdgen for that.

I reaaaaally doubt it, especially after seing the headers. How often are you going to make 1000+ NA horsepower with 1 7/8" (at best) primaries.

I remember seeing that car for sale, multiple times, a few years back ...I think it was a different color though. It looks like one of those cars rich idiots buy then realize its crap and re-sell ....I *know* I've seen that for sale twice before with different owners.
