I just purchased a set of hardened pushrods from a local speed shop.... Comp Cams High Energy pushrods... standard size.. part number: 7812-16.... $33.44....Call up summit or jegs and give them that part number and see was cheaper if their not then try....Total Performance (619) 562-9894.

Hey Pro91Z... I'm new to this vicinity, I've run across a couple of speed shops up here, but it's always handy to know ehre there are more... what shops are there in this area?

Thanks!

Factory roller lifters use DIFFERENT LENGTH PUSHRODS from the older flat tappet motors. I doubt you can find the shorter roller-lifter pushrods you will need, with hardening for $33, but I have never looked. use of standard flat-tappet length pushrods with roller lifters will cause horrendous valvetrain geometry problems and probably bend the pushrods the first time the engine turns over.

Make sure you have the right length pushrods.
