There's always the old "Hit the block with a hammer" trick, but you'd need a ScanTool or Diacom to see if knock retard occurs.

Auto zone will test it free. U pull it but save coolant! When they test it it's either bad, or good. nothing in between! No refund on installed elec. parts!!

get real? ha, listen here chief, you said electric parts..coil is an electric part, hell its almost the most important electrical item a car has.. Dirty? Oil/antifreeze wipes off and I know someone who took a knock sensor back cause he thought his was busted and it ended up being something else.. but you have a delightful day slick

I guess only quality parts stores have that sign over the counter!
I suggest your buy your parts at Advance Auto so you can take that part back! I know I'm not shopping there anymore, I sure don't want to buy your dirty once-installed part that is supposed to be new on my vehicle!! (I hope slick-hydric shops there too).

look sqz, theres no room for a smarta$$... I was just saying u could in fact take the part back when you said you couldn't (get real man).. and I don't buy sensors cause my cars computer is eliminated with the carb conversion..

don't be a stupida$$, and of course I shop there... But you can go ahead and buy from wherever and get a sissy-girl clean part and spend more $ for the same thing...

nothing wrong with keeping out the dirt from under your nails

well if you speak the truth, the real fact of the matter is you can... Whether or not I can/can't handle the truth isn't the point cause what you said was wrong and in fact, not the truth =] ...

its as plain and simple as that but its isn't worth fighting over...
