120MPH Speedometer
In my old 89 firebird l had a 120mph speedo. My 87 T/A has an 85MPH speedo. Will a 120MPH cluster bolt in place of an 85MPH cluster, and provide the correct speed information?
FWIW, the 87 does have the electric VSS and not a cable.
Thanks

Guapo,
The electric (pulse-reader) speedo heads only count and register the number of pulses from the VSS. A 120 MPH head can just display more of them. As long as the speedo from the '89 is a pulse reader, it should work fine. Of course, the connections and mountings need to be the same. If the connectors are different, you may have a chore ahead of you.
