Need help fast!
Allright, I have a '90 RS with a 350 HO Deluxe (330HP) with about 900 mile on it so far, it's been running very well lately. But I just had a big problem today...
I warmed it upf or about 5 minutes, then drove to school, still kinda cold, but it was working fine. Then as I was coming into the parking lot (4 mile drive) it died while I was making the right turn in, so I just coasted it for about 1/4 mile into the parking lot and let it sit for a minute. Then when I went to start it again, it wouldn't hold idle at all, it just died. It starts up ok with my foot on the gas, but when I let go of the gas, it just falls right on it;''s face. I started it up one last time, and kept my foot on the throttle to keep the engine in the correct RPM range for idle, then shifted into drive and held the idle up while I got it to a pakring spot. I was late for class, so I had to hurrry, and I left it there.
Does anyone have any clue as to what the problem could be (if any)? I need to drive about 200 miles in a couple of hours, so I need any help at all as fast as possible, any advice or theories are welcome, thanks.

I know this sounds stupid, but check the air filter. I had a friend's truck do that once and we didn't find out until I drove it home for him keeping my foot on the gas the whole way (he was an idiot). We pulled the filter and it started right up...
That would be the first thing to check. Are you running a carb? If so could be a clogged fuel filter. If it's FI then there might be a problem...

Yeah, it is a right out of the box carbed 350, they sell it in Jegs. I guess I can check the fuel filter, but don't see how that can be a problem... short of sabbotage, I am a bit paranoid.
The air filter is brand new with the motor, I will check it out, but I am pretty sure it is fine.
I was having a slight problem with the valve cover bolts being a bit loose after the first 500 miles, whcih I tightened up, but I am not sure if that could cause this problem, plus I don't have the tools here with me.

That shouldn't be a problem unless that's causing a massive vacumn leak, but that's very doubtful. What kind of carb if on it?
The 330hp 350 HO ''Deluxe'' is completely dressed and ready to rumble. Starting with the 350 HO ''Base'' and adding a Holley 600 cfm vacuum secondary carburetor, aluminum dual plane intake manifold, GM HEI distributor, water pump, torsional damper, and a flexplate for automatic transmissions. It eliminates all the guess work.
