I did a search and didn't find mu on what I was looking for. Anyhow.....I've heard that the fuel pressure guage that Acell makes isn's supposed to be mounting under the hood permanenty because it's not liquid filled. It's say's" adapter sold seperatley".,.....how do I know what adpater to get? I have NO clue on what kind of fittings or adapters to get, also.....where does it hook up too?......can anyone please help me out?? ANY into would be great Thanks

I just sent my Accel back for the reason you stated. I just ordered a liquid filled gauge for permanent mounting from Street and Performance. It was only 50 bucks. Its good for 60psi as well, just like Accel. The web site is www.hotrodlane.cc/. Click on "online catalog" at the top or just call and ask for the tpi fuel rail liquid filled gauge. You get what you pay for! I wouldnt buy the Summit gauge for 19.99.

Why can't you use a permanant gauge that's not liquid filled? The Accel one is sold as a permanent install.

Just wondering, cause that's what I installed earlier this summer

In summit....is says not for permanent use. Does anyone know if I need to get some kind of line or something to run one of these gauges? It looks like if I just mount the guage where the shrader valve is.....there isn't going to be enough room for the guage to fit. It looks like it would hit the runners and the plenum.....I thought maybe if a could run some kind of line from the shrader valve...so I could put the guage further out.

Where? I was just on their site to check this and don't see any mention of this.

It stands to reason that a fuel pressure gauge mounted on the fuel rail is a permanent install, because it screws right onto the schrader valve.

There is plenty of room to install it. Fits like a charm, just make sure your buy the right one, i.e. for TPI engines.

I was looking at the Accell one also. Whats the difference between liquid and non liquid filled?

What is wrong with the Accel one?

I would email summit and ask them.....I think I might go ahead and do it to see what they have to say.

Does it come with all of the necessary fittings to install the accel guage?

everything is supplied, took all but 10 minutes to install...much cleaner and easier than a hand held guage.

Hey CaptPicardsZ28, that TPI Fuel Pressure gauge that you purchased from Street and Performance....does it read up to 60 PSI?? It looks like a nice gauge....I'm running MAP, will the gauge still mount on the fuel rail with the MAP sensor right there? The shrader valve is pretty close to the MAP sensor...
