Hey guys, well after needing 3 jumps this week, I know im a jack as-, Im thinking of getting one of those self contained jump packs, ones that jump a car without needing anjother car or AC connector.
Any one use these, have any luck?
thanks

Forget the jumps, fix your car.........
ha i wish it was the car that was broken.
It's me, which is harder to fix.
I took the leather arm pad which site between the two seats off so i could fix it.
THe only problem is that little light in the box stays on, I have been to lazy to pull the light out.
Well I keep frogeting to either put the top back on so it shuts the light off or put a piece of tape over the switch.
Like I said I Know i am a jack a-- , and yes I did fix it today.
im just wondering if those things are any good and if so which ones you guys got, how much CCA ? im thinking 300 should do it good?
thanks again

We have one of those at work. They work pretty well. Unless the battery is completely dead then it won't sometimes.
We had the same one that got used dozens of times a day for 5 years...just now died.

I have a Power2Go 600A booster pack and it works great. It even has a 12VDC power outlet and worklamp for when you are in the dark without a flashlight, and also a power meter to show how much juice is left. I have no idea how long it would last with a good working car becuase my ECM is screwy and it takes my engine forever to build oil pressure enough to turn the fuel pump on (getting fixed Monday), but with me, it lasts a good four or five starts before it craps out on me.

ours at work has 3 levels of charge.. it will start my 2.3L tempo (yeah thats my beater so don't give me any shi* about having a ford) on the lowest level...
sometimes it will start a diesel bus if its fully charged and the battery has some juice in it, but for cars, for sure shouldnt have any problems with starting them.
and yeah we plug it in at night n let it charge up, we've had it since i've been there and ive been working there alot over a year n they have it before I...
