how to identify camshaft?

how to identify camshaft?

I pulled the cam from my 305 recently but Im comparing it to the lt4 cam I have and they look very close. how can I Identify the old cam.

I pulled these letters + numbers off the old cam

6J30 WF 2
4001 EP

you can measure the lobes and times by 1.5 to get lift, duration is harder if not impossiable to figure. if it's aftermarket it ought to have the grinders name or logo on it. even if it's a good cam most likely i'd trash it since it's used
