valve cover question

bought a set of used edelbrock valve covers and the PCV valve and the breather holes are at the opposite ends of the covers compared to my stock ones. will this make a difference if i just cut the hoses to new lengths on either side or does the design of the heads effect how these emission systems work?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but can't you just turn them around so that the holes are in the right places.

ya you do sound stupid. do you actually think i would ask a question like this if that was the case. number one the edelbrock name would be upside down and look stupid, number 2 the bolt holes won't be at the correct angle so they won't line up hence the reason for the question. go take a nap

I'm assuming the hole is to the right of the Edelbrock logo.

The extra length will not harm the emissions system at all.

Good Luck Scotty,

My post was not meant to be insulting in any way. I thought it was possible that there was one of those mental blocks that we all have where you stare at something and can not figure it out even when there is an obvious solution. I don't know exactly how you took my post as dorogitory, a little self concious maybe? Thanks for being an @ss.

Ok Scotty,

More info please. Which end of the covers are the holes on? We may be able to help, or tell you you're screwed.

Worst case would be having to run a longer piece of line fo rthe PCV valve hose, and an aftermarket PCV breather.

Good luck!
