Pulling Engine
The time has come for me to pull my engine (305 mounted to a 700r4) so I can put in a yet to be bought 350 and t56.
What is the best way to remove an engine?
What about wiring and everything?
How much time should I set aside to do it?
Should I drain the car of fluids?
Is there anything I should keep in mind when taking the engine out?
And also, I know some jobs are a lot easier to do when the engine is out. So taking advantage of having no engine what projects should I try to complete with an empty engine bay?
Any other advice suggestions?

if u dont have the garage space, take the tranny out first..
engine pulling is easy, make keen note of electronics n where they go, what plug is for what (alot of people take pictures)
the job will take prolly 5 hours if... its not that hard
i would drain the radiator, you'll need to remove that (or risk smashing it)
u using a cherry picker? watch the distrib cap/ oil sending unit, anything in the back... take it slow n take your time, you'll be fine..
also do a search here for engine removal hints, you'll find a ton more that you'll feel like you've done it before =]
good luck

When pulling eng and tranny together, I like to remove driveshaft and place a plastic bag over tranny tail shaft. Secure it rubber bands.
If you don't, when you tilt the eng/tranny up, you'll have tranny fluid all over the place.
