What do I do?
I cant get my valve cover on. The lip of the valve cover cant fit inbetween the LTR'S and the top of the rocker arms. Yes theres only about a 1/2 clearence i am tried severely to get it on and i scratched the hell out of my new runner too
I think I am going to grind some metal away on the cover tongiht. Cover is a Moroso Center Bolt

what are the ltrs? I just pulled both my valve covers for cleaning and got them back on - they're stock though. I had to take off the positive connector to the alt on the left, and took off emissions stuff on the right. Biggest problem on the right is the wiring harness - you could always get underneath and disconnect the knock and temp sensors so you could move that harness...

Can you unbolt the runner and the cover and try to get them both on before bolting anything down? If it were me I'd try that before grinding.

With the new runners I cant bolt the bottom bolts without having the cover off. Even then I had to take a rocker off so I could get a socket with torx in there.

wow - only thing i can think of would be to remove the alternator, possibly the alt bracket too, and slide the cover in from the front with the lip under the runner. also have to get the harness out of the way. there have to be others on here with LTR's that can help you...

In that case, it shouldn't be too tough to move the compressor out of the way (if you have ac). As long as your lines are in good shape it shouldn't leak. Unless it looks like it's not going to work from the front. Are the moroso covers the problem do you think? Do you still have the stock ones to try them?

The inside of the valve cover so nobody sees it. Dont worry It'll look professional when I get done. I'll post pics.

Mkos, you got the AS & M ones huh? I had the same bloody problem. I took the valve cover and lipped the edge under the rockers then dropped the other side flat and then slid them up to the bolt holes. They are a PITA, but it is possible to pop them on without modification.

Yea i got them. I'll try that tomorrow. You;d think that paying 400 bucks would yield a very east bolt on. Now I got a scratched runner

Thanks anyways
